Past tense adalah bentuk kalimat yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu peristiwa yang telah terjadi di masa lalu.
Present perfect tense adalah kalimat yang digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu kejadian yang bermula di masa lampau tapi masih berlanjut sampai saat ini.

Simple past = menggunakan did dalam kalimat pertanyaan.

Simple past = had - have, was- be, lasted - last, flew - fly.
f. Wilbur: "We have worked and experimented with gliders to perfect the wing design and controls since then."
Present perfect = have worked and experimented.
